Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a crossed gold sword and a torch surmounted by a black fireball with red flames, all in front of a circular gold wreath.

Symbolism
The fireball symbolizes the school's ammunition mission.  The flames, pointing to the four compass points, suggest the global mission of the center.  The sword and flaming torch represent the military and academic roles of the school.  The color gold and the laurel wreath both embody excellence and achievement.

Background
The item was approved as a device for use on stationery, diplomas, mural decorations and as a badge for presentation to foreign student graduates on 25 August 1987.
